Wimer Bike Park

Wimer Bike Park

In direct connection to the northern parts of Vimmerby, near Astrid Lindgren’s World, you’ll find bike trails offering wonderful rides. The terrain is quite hilly relative to the rest of the region, so you can expect both uphill and downhill slopes. There are four trails for you to enjoy and a pump track where you can hone your technique.

Mossebo Flowtrack, Green 1.1 km

This is a beautiful green circuit that’s suitable for most people, regardless of trail riding experience. The trail also serves as a warm-up/cool down for the slightly tougher trails that start from Mossebo’s highest point. A gentle route if you take it easy that gets harder the faster you go.

Videslätt, Blue 3.3 km

The blue difficulty grade means that this trail offers a few more challenges in the form of hills and narrow tracks, but in a way that’s fun rather than too exciting. You can expect slopes and banked turns in different directions as well as stones and roots to get around or over. Returning to the start of the trail, the route follows a busy gravel road. Please take it easy here and respect other road users/pedestrians/riders.

Rumhult, Red 6 km

This is where both length and difficulty increase, so you may want to practise on the easier trails before heading out to Rumhult. You can expect beautiful surroundings, hills and challenging technical trails. More of everything really as well as some nice downhill sections where you can pick up speed as you become more familiar with the trail. You return to the start of the route via the same gravel road as that used by blue Videslätt trail.

Applekullen, Black 7.7 km

This is the longest and biggest challenge the park has to offer, and it shares some sections with the Novemberkåsan enduro competition that’s been held in the area. The trail throws up some challenging sections, and it may take a while before you learn to navigate them with good speed and fluency. However, with the right technique and experience of the trail, it offers nice speed sections, and opportunities to switch between them to explore alternative lines. Take it easy until you get to know it!

There are currently limited parking options at the start of the trails. If you’re arriving by car, please park in a safe manner nearby and ensure that you do not block roads or exits!

The trails in the area are maintained by CK Wimer with support from Vimmerby Municipality.
