Kvilleken

Kvilleken

The Kvillek or Rumskullaek as it is also called is one of Sweden's oldest and largest oaks, it is also one of the thickest oaks in all of Europe.

An impressive giant. The range at chest height is around 13 meters. At the end of the 1930s, a careful investigation was made into the age of Kvilleken, and it was concluded that it was 950 years old. This means that at this point it has passed 1000 years and is probably the country's only millennial oak.

Kvilleken can be found in the nature reserve Kvill a few kilometers south of Norra Kvills national park. You park easily in the large car park and walk 100 meters along the accessible road to Kvilleken.
