Fall in Astrid Lindgrens World

During the autumn holidays, Astrid Lindgren’s World is a completely different experience than in the summer. The trees turn yellow and red and when it gets dark, fires and lanterns are lit to light up the park. The fresh air is mixed with the scent of lit grills and freshly roasted almonds.

Autumn holidays open: 23-24 October, and 30 October – 7 November, 10.00-17.00. November 2 – November 5 open in the evening, 10.00-19.00.

Exhibitors are on site and offer a traditional Småland market atmosphere. The pace is calm but for playful children there is a lot of fun to do and discover. Anyone who wants can meet That Emil, Pippi Longstocking, Ronja the Robbers daughter, Rasmus, Mardie and all their friends.

Just like in an old-fashioned market, there are lots of exciting, well-produced and unique and different goods from our selected exhibitors. Many of them sell traditional handicrafts made with skilled craftsmanship and most of it is locally produced. When the stomach starts to rumble, there are a lot to choose from. We make everything ourselves and try to buy raw materials and products from the local area. What we serve in our restaurants Majkens Mat and Stadsmästargården is hearty Småland home cooking. Tasty and well-cooked dishes such as meatballs with mashed potatoes and Swedish potato pancakes with pork. We also have plenty of cozy cafes and smaller eateries with everything from buns, pastries and sandwiches to pancakes and waffles with jam and cream.
